Bye bye l'Asie, on est pret pour de nouvelles aventures, dans un pays immense (comme l'Europe ?)...Ca, on le savait mais c'est rien tant qu'on ne l'a pas concretement experimente.
C'est parti pour 21 jours en camping car, pour exactement 5550kms !
Depart de Sydney jusque Adelaide en suivant la cote, puis remontee directe a Alice Springs par le desert pour voir Uluru et le centre rouge du pays. Ensuite, vol d'Uluru a Cairns ou nous rejoignons Rob, Jane et les filles (frere de Simon) pour une semaine.
Enfin, vol jusque Brisbane pour retrouver un vieux copain d'ecole de Simon : Bert et sa (tres) joyeuse famille ! Tout un programme ...
SYDNEY
Sydney est tout simplement magique. Apres quasiment 4 mois d'Asie, c'est un choc de voir tous ces blancs le premier soir... en costume cravate , boire un verre autour de l'Opera House. Bon, on se sent un peu decale avec nos shorts et pantalons thai...
Visite de la ville... Superbe jogging autour de l'Opera House, dans le Botanical Garden... L'Australie, meme en pleine ville, c'est un peu Jurassik Park : des chauves souris enormes qu'on a jamais vues et qui n'ont l'air de deranger personne a part nous..., des oiseaux de toutes les couleurs, avec des longs becs, des perruches blanches, meme les pigeons ici sont tous mignons avec leur petit panache sur la tete...ce qui nous change de leurs horribles cousins parisiens !!
Sydney, c'est SURTOUT la plage et ses SURFEURS... Comme dans les films, c'est un peu le cliche "Barbie et Ken" sont a la plage a BONDI... Tant qu'on n'est pas alle a Bondi, on n'a pas eu de VRAIE experience de la plage, St Trop a cote, c'est de la gnognote... Vous voyez ce que je veux dire ?
MALLACUTA
On a tant a decouvrir qu'on doit deja (snif snif) quitte Sydney...
A Mallacuta, on decouvre la vraie Australie, celle de la nature, des paysages magnifiques et des animaux sauvages (mais pas trop ...)
Il est pas mignon le pelican ?
Tous les soirs, c'est camping. Les campings peuvent etre impressionants comme celui-ci. On reste au bord de l'eau, avec vue sur la mer.

Le soir, on se laisse enveloppe par l'ambiance magique d'un coucher de soleil. Pas un bruit, on est tranquille.
Le lendemain matin : encore un footing hallucinant sur la cote ... au detour d'un chemin, on se retrouve sur le golf ...des dizaines de tetes se tournent vers nous : on est entoure de kangourous !

MELBOURNE
Arrivee a Melbourne sans avoir anticipe le Grand Prix et les Championnats du Monde de natation... La ville est archi-comble. L'ambiance relax a fait place, pour quelques jours, a une excitation partagee. On decouvre Melbourne et en particulier le quartier, St Fitzroy sous les broums broums fracassants des voitures de course.
Melbourne est definitivement une ville qui bouge.
Plus europenne que sa voisine Sydney, elle est plus trendy, plus hype, plus "Le Marais" ?! Restos branches (le Ladro), bars a vin, pubs a tous les coins de rue... et BOUTIQUES de MODE ...
Le marche de Victoria n'a pas echappe a notre visite (2 jours de suite quand meme ...).
Comme toutes les villes d'Australie (meme la plus petite avec 2 rues qui se croisent), il y a des parcs partout. Pas des pauvres petits parcs comme en France... Des vrais grands parcs, avec de la vraie belle herbe verte, des fleurs, des oiseaux, des gens qui pique niquent. Le mode de vie est tres OUTDOOR, tourne vers l'exterieur. On a trouve les Australiens tres sportifs (et pas qu'en face de leur tele), pratiquant a haute dose la marche intensive, le jogging, le surf, l'aviron, la peche etc, etc.

Une des motivations pour venir en Australie est, vous le remarquerez, la decouverte des vins australiens. Yarra est notre premier stop. A seulement 45mns de Melbourne, c'est une vallee tranquille. Les vins sont bons mais quand meme assez chers. Il faudra attendre Barossa et Mac Laren, les joyaux de la couronne...

Nous sommes tres surpris (agreablement) par cette cote. Le Great Ocean road, un peu plus loin, vole la vedette a cette cote tres belle, sauvage. Et un Fish et Chips delicieux !

ADELAIDE: la porte des vignobles
Un coup de coeur pour cette ville provinciale tres tranquille, derniere etape avant la traversee du desert. Coupee en deux par un parc gigantesque, l´ambiance sportive des alentours de la fac dynamise un centre ville calme, tres australien.
Le centre national du vin donne un avant gout des vallees alentours : Barossa, Coonwarra, Mac Laren et Clare.
MC LAREN VALLEY
On a A-DO-RE cet endroit. Tres cool, avec des gens hyper sympas, on a decouvert le concept du " drink and bike". Nous avons loue un velo et le petit cafe-resto-fromagerie du coin nous a prepare un panier pique nique. L´idee est de deguster un fromage avec un vin en faisant le tour des vignobles du coin. Bon. plus on deguste, moins on est motive pour remonter sur le velo ...mais il fallait bien rentrer !!

Au centre de l´Australie, au pays des Aborigenes Anangu, se trouve Uluru (ex-Ayers Rock)dans le Kata Tjuta National Park. Centre culturel, spirituel et naturel, nous avons ete fascinés par cet endroit.

Poue decouvrir le parc, nous avons pris un tour organise au depart d´Alice Springs (The Rocks). Nous avons partage 3 jours et 2 nuits avec des gens super sympas, nuit sous les etoiles et camping au menu. Les hotels sont tres tres chers a Uluru. Donc ambiance Backpackers obligee !!

Une semaine avec Rob, Jane et les filles qui sont venus en Australie pour les vacances de Paques. Un super moment en famille...de l'autre cote de la planete.
Et en plus on avait un vrai lit super confortable !!

Les enfants, marrants comme tout, etaient ravis d´avoir une "Madame" francaise chez eux...
La joyeuse famille WeedenVoila pour l´Australie... Un seul regret : c´est beaucoup trop loin ! Un super endroit a decouvrir.
